Aussie Locums is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (Nurse Grade 8) for a locum contract in Central Queensland, QLD. The role runs Monday to Friday with weekends free, offering travel allowance and 76 hours per fortnight.

Join a supportive team in a correctional health setting and deliver essential care to residents. Ideal candidates are AHPRA registered Nurse Practitioners with CQHHS credentialing and willingness to obtain the Queensland Corrective Services Check.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registered Nurse Practitioner with eligible clinician status.
• Current Queensland Corrective Services Check or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in emergency, triage and rural healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert healthcare within a correctional facility in Central Queensland.
• Manage emergency and primary care needs and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary

Deliver expert healthcare within a correctional facility in Central Queensland. Manage emergency and primary healthcare needs while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Skills and Experience

• AHPRA registered Nurse Practitioner
• Queensland Corrective Services Check (or willingness to obtain)
• ALS, triage, resuscitation, IV cannulation, emergency & rural nursing skills
• Credentialing with CQHHS required
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred
• ODT & Hep C prescribing skills desirable
