Job summary

Gateway Health in Wodonga is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong AOD nursing background to deliver high-quality, person-centred care across the Northeast Victoria region. You will screen, assess, plan treatment, prescribe, and refer, working with a multidisciplinary team to strengthen integrated care in the community.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in AOD or related field.
• Registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Current MBS provider number and PBS prescriber number.
• MATOD training with RACGP and DoH authority to prescribe MATOD in Victoria.
• OTAC and DOH authority to prescribe OAT in NSW.
• SafeScript registration in VIC and NSW.
• Authority to prescribe agents used in drug dependence.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in opioid pharmacotherapy, AOD, and nursing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform AOD screening, assessments, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe and manage pharmacotherapy within scope.
• Refer to and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated care.
• Support families and build capacity within the AOD sector.
• Provide leadership to ensure service targets are met and foster a supportive environment.
