Job summary

ForHealth Deception Bay Medical Centre invites applications for a Full-Time Practice Nurse Manager. You will lead a team of nurses and treatment room staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, mentoring team members and driving clinical excellence in a busy GP setting.

As an experienced RN, you will collaborate with the Practice Manager and Medical Director to enhance patient outcomes, maintain accreditation standards and deliver safe, high-quality care across the practice.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Leadership or nurse management experience within General Practice or Primary Care.
• Strong knowledge of treatment room procedures and Chronic Disease Management.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing rosters and workflow in a busy clinical environment.
• Unrestricted Australian work rights and evidence of immunisation history and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of Registered Nurses and support staff.
• Manage treatment room operations and ensure quality patient care.
• Oversee infection control, equipment, stock and maintenance.
• Drive Chronic Disease Management programs and nurse-led clinics.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and Medicare requirements.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager and Medical Director to improve operations.
• Foster a positive, patient-focused team culture.
• Develop robust nursing rosters and skill mix.
