Metro North Health seeks a senior Nursing and Midwifery Leader to drive governance, leadership, and advocacy across the health service. You will work with executive teams to advance evidence-based practice and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
The role focuses on culture of excellence, policy reform, education, and workforce planning to strengthen nursing and midwifery across the organization.
The purpose of this role is to demonstrate accountability for effective governance, leadership, management and advocacy for the nursing and midwifery profession across Metro North Health. The role works collaboratively with direct operational reports, and Metro North Health facility/directorate executive leadership team members to fulfil accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health and the Nursing and Midwifery vision, values, and strategic direction. This role engages with internal and external stakeholders to build networks and partnerships and foster contemporary models and evidence-based practice. The position promotes, nurtures and role model a culture of excellence in nursing and midwifery standards, practice, cultural safety, quality improvement, policy reform, ongoing education, workforce planning, and research. The role will also lead and advocate on behalf of the Metro North Health nursing and midwifery profession from an international, national, state and health service perspective
