Job summary
Monash Health in Doveton is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager for the Community Care Unit. The role focuses on leading high-quality psychiatric nursing care, clinical leadership and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team across shifts.
You will work on a recovery-oriented, person-centred approach, supporting consumers to develop daily living skills and a safe home-like environment, with opportunities for service development and quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Current NMBA registration via AHPRA.
- Postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing or an approved equivalent.
- Postgraduate study in management or leadership is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychiatric nursing care using a recovery-oriented, evidence-based approach.
- Deliver clinical leadership, including supporting junior staff, modelling best practice, and contributing to clinical decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families/carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist consumers in developing functional, daily-living and independent-living skills.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, therapeutic, home-like residential environment.
- Participate in service development, quality activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
