Job summary

A Nurse Management Coordinator (Primary Health Care) is sought to lead the Angurugu/Alyangula Primary Health Care Centre in Groote Eylandt, NT. The role provides expert clinical leadership and supports a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, responsive health care in a remote Aboriginal community.

You will oversee daily operations, manage resources, and contribute to continuous improvement, risk management and quality across the health centre, with potential on-call duties and travel to remote

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or eligibility for registration.
• Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry to practice relevant to the specialty area.
• Advanced clinical knowledge and nursing management skills.
• Experience managing human, material and financial resources.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding social and cultural factors influencing health care delivery.

Alyangula / Angurugu Primary Health Care Centre Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory

One vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 2 years working in Alyangula and Angurugu.

This position leads a remote Primary Health Care Centre and makes a meaningful impact to service delivery to the community through strong clinical leadership, effective service management and quality care.

The Role

As the Nurse Management Coordinator (Primary Health Care), you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Angurugu/Alyangula Primary Health Care Centre, providing expert clinical leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team.

You will oversee the effective management of human, material and financial resources while supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe and responsive health care. The role provides an opportunity to lead service delivery in a remote setting, foster a positive workplace culture and contribute to continuous improvement, risk management and quality across the health centre.

The position may include participation in the 24/7 on‑call roster and requires the ability to travel to remote communities by 4WD or light aircraft

About you

You will be an experienced nurse and clinical leader with strong management capability and an understanding of Primary Health Care and the factors influencing the delivery of health services in remote Aboriginal communities.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or eligibility for registration
• A Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry to practice relevant to the specialty area
• Advanced clinical knowledge and nursing management skills
