Job summary

Moreton ATSICHS is seeking a Nurse Educator BECS to support parents and carers of infants and young children, promote childhood development and parental wellbeing, and deliver integrated health promotion and clinical care across our clinics. The role includes home visiting, health assessments, and collaboration with primary care, Birthing in Our Community, Family Wellbeing and paediatric services.

This community-based position runs Monday to Friday with no shift work, and requires AHPRA

Qualifications

• Current Criminal History Check is required.
• AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse or Midwife.
• Interest and experience in maternal and child health.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day health service activities to designated communities within Primary Health Care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner.
• Assist families' transition and encourage ongoing engagement with their local medical service during involvement with the Hub.
• Ensure infants and children have a 715 Health Assessment commenced from 6 weeks of age; promote uptake of 715 Assessments by parents, siblings and caregivers.
• Provide culturally safe home visits to eligible women and their families.
