Job summary

Townsville Hospital and Health Service invites applications for graduate and newly qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologists to deliver base level nuclear medicine services within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide education to staff, patients and the public on clinical and safety considerations, while supporting education and safety in a dynamic healthcare environment in North Queensland.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine and registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
• Current Radiation Use Licence issued by Queensland Health - Radiation Health.
• Vaccination and health checks may be required.
• Probation and pre-employment checks will apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver base level nuclear medicine services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide education to staff, patients and the public on clinical and safety considerations.
• Contribute to stakeholder communications and quality improvement in nuclear medicine.

About your opportunity:

For graduate and newly qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologists to deliver base level nuclear medicine services including education as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health. Provide education to staff, patients, and the public regarding the clinical and safety considerations specific to Nuclear Medicine services and provide a patient focus to the performance of duties.

Requirements:

• Mandatory qualifications:
  • Tertiary qaulification applicable to Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current Registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
  • Radiation Use Licnece issued by Queensland Health - Radiation Health.
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
• Probation period may apply.
• Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
