Job summary

La Cosmetique is an established beauty retailer with stores across Australia, offering a broad range of beauty and skincare products. We are seeking a hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations, coach a sales team and drive exceptional customer service at NSW locations.

You will report to the General Manager and manage sales, staffing, visual presentation and local promotions while supporting operations across our NSW network.

Qualifications

• Proven retail management experience, preferably in beauty, cosmetics or skincare.
• Enjoy working on the shop floor, selling and developing your team.
• Confident managing recruitment, rosters, labour budgets and inventory.
• Organised, proactive and able to follow tasks through to completion.
• Hold a valid driver’s licence and be willing to drive between NSW stores when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, actively serve customers and coach your team to achieve sales and service targets.
• Monitor sales, transaction numbers, average transaction value and items per sale, and implement practical improvements.
• Run daily team huddles and ensure promotions, pricing and merchandising are correctly implemented.
• Identify staffing needs, interview candidates and recommend appointments for approval; coordinate onboarding and training with Head Office Administration.
• Prepare rosters within approved labour budgets, monitor hours and wage costs, and arrange leave and replacement coverage.
• Set team expectations, review staff performance and address day‑to‑day team issues.
• Manage replenishment, transfers and tester usage; check negative stock weekly and resolve discrepancies.
• Review damaged, faulty or stolen‑product reports and coordinate approved stock adjustments.
• Monitor store expenses and stock losses, prepare required reports and follow up on operational issues.
• Work with Marketing on promotions and coordinate with Head Office, the warehouse and other NSW stores as required.

About the role

Love beauty and enjoy leading a team? We’re looking for a hands‑on Store Manager to deliver great customer service, develop a confident sales team and manage daily store operations.
