Job summary

Beca’s Planning & Environment team seeks a Senior Ecologist/Technical Lead to champion biodiversity assessments and embed ecological outcomes into multidisciplinary projects across Australia. You will lead NSW ecology capability, oversee BAM-based assessments, and guide BDAR reviews and biodiversity offset strategies.

Qualifications

Qualified and experienced ecologist.
Experience delivering BAM-based biodiversity assessments.
Ability to lead major project approvals (SSD, SSI and EPBC Act).
Established professional network within NSW environmental/biodiversity sector.
Team leadership experience and mentoring capability.
Commercial acumen with client growth and service expansion.

Responsibilities

Lead ecology strategy and biodiversity outcomes across NSW projects.
Grow and mentor the NSW ecology team within Beca.
Provide technical oversight of biodiversity reports and BDARs; guide offset strategy.
