Job summary

KB Seafood Co in Melbourne is seeking a Product Development professional to manage new product development from concept through to launch. You will coordinate trials, product evaluations, and initial manufacturing runs, while ensuring packaging development and compliance activities meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in product development within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and Australian food regulations.
• Experience managing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage new product development projects from initial concept through to commercial launch.
• Coordinate production trials, product evaluations, and initial manufacturing runs.
• Partner with QA and regulatory teams to ensure product specifications, HACCP requirements, labelling, and compliance documentation are completed.
• Support troubleshooting during trials and production launches.
• Develop and maintain product specifications, BOMs, ERP records, and NPD project tracking.
• Support packaging and labelling development, ensuring compliance, sustainability, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Prepare trial reports and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders.
