Job summary

PCR Talent is seeking a Flood Modeller / Civil Engineer in Sydney with roughly 3+ years of experience to work on flood, hydrology, stormwater and urban development projects. This role blends modelling with client interaction and project leadership, offering mentorship and clear career progression within a respected Australian consultancy.

You will contribute to hydrological modelling, flood mapping and technical reporting while collaborating across disciplines and growing toward senior

Qualifications

Around 3+ years of experience in flood modelling, hydraulics or hydrological analysis.
Strong TUFLOW capability is essential.
Experience with QGIS and exposure to packages such as DRAINS, MUSIC, RORB, WBNM, RAFTS, URBS or similar.
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent.
Understanding of Australian engineering standards and local industry requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Good technical report writing and communication skills.
Interest in progressing toward technical and project leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling across diverse projects.
Develop flood models and assist with flood mapping, assessment and interpretation.
Carry out spatial and technical analysis using GIS and modelling tools.
Address complex flood and stormwater problems with practical engineering solutions.
Assist with project planning, budgets and technical delivery.
Prepare technical reports, assessments, proposals and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with civil engineers, designers, architects, developers and other stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers as experience grows.
