Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Network Support Engineer to join the Leo Networking Software team. You will be part of the NOC, handling tier 1 support for software defined network services across the satellite network, working to diagnose issues and improve operational uptime.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support deployment across geographic regions, with on-call rotations during business hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development or 2+ years of technical support experience.
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• 2+ years of network engineering experience for large-scale networks.
• Experience with network monitoring and automation scripting using SQL, Python or Bash.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and elevate network incidents; diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Support deployment and onboarding of network capabilities across regions.
• Monitor and investigate network performance for uptime.
• Build tools, refine procedures to improve network operations.
• Manage severity 2/3 tickets; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with network, software, and security teams.
