Job summary

Contract Resources is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Perth, WA. You will manage and coordinate the technical aspects of Oil & Gas projects, working closely with the Project Manager and stakeholders. Site travel to onshore and offshore facilities may be required.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering and at least 6 years' experience in onshore/offshore oil and gas, with strong skills in drawings, risk assessments, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in oil & gas.
• Field/onsite experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review work packs and technical drawings.
• Perform risk assessments and prepare technical documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers and project teams.
• Manage and support all phases of engineering projects.
• Estimate scope, budget and schedules.
• Supervise CAD work and mentor junior engineers.
• Site focal point for quality control.
• Maintain equipment registers and provide ongoing technical support.
• Support site execution and hands-on roles during peak periods.
• Contribute to process improvements and troubleshoot technical issues.
