Job summary

Springmount Services is seeking a part-time cleaner for Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre in Melbourne. The role covers approximately 10–15 hours per week, with shifts typically from Saturday to Monday and an immediate start available.

The successful applicant will operate ride-on scrubbers and other cleaning machinery, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and work independently with minimal supervision. Uniforms are provided and ongoing training offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or retail cleaning is preferred.
• Confidence using commercial cleaning machinery.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate ride-on scrubbers and floor-cleaning machinery.
• Mop, sweep, dust, and vacuum areas.
• Clean and maintain mall floors and common areas.
• Clean high-touch points including rails and door handles.
• Washroom and amenities cleaning.
• Spot clean and respond to spills.
• Empty bins and manage waste runs.
• Restock cleaning supplies and monitor stock.
• Report hazards and maintenance issues.
• Follow shift cleaning requests.

Job description

A part-time cleaning position available at Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre. This position is approximately 10–15 hours per week, Saturday to Monday, with an immediate start available. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive team member who takes pride in delivering a high standard of cleaning. You will be confident working independently without constant supervision, able to manage your workload effectively and have experience operating commercial cleaning equipment, particularly ride‑on scrubbers and other floor‑cleaning machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Operating ride‑on scrubbers and other floor‑cleaning machinery
• Mopping, sweeping, dusting and vacuuming
• Cleaning and maintaining mall floors and common areas
• Cleaning high‑touch points including handrails, door handles, taps and other surfaces
• Washroom and amenities cleaning
• Spot cleaning and responding to spills
• Emptying bins and completing waste runs
• Maintaining cleaning supplies and stock
• Responding to cleaning requests throughout the shift
• Identifying and reporting hazards, maintenance issues and graffiti

About you

• Previous commercial or retail cleaning experience
• Experience operating a ride‑on scrubber
• Confidence using commercial cleaning machinery
• Able to work independently and without constant supervision
• Self‑motivated and proactive
• Strong problem‑solving skills in a busy and changing environment
• Good communication and time‑management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and committed to the role
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, retailers, Centre Management and other team members
