Job summary

Opal HealthCare, set among the tree-lined streets of Old Reynella, invites applications for a Night Duty Registered Nurse. This permanent part-time role provides overnight clinical leadership as you support residents with dignity and maintain high-quality care.

You will be registered with AHPRA, bring night-duty experience in residential aged care, and excel in communication with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Night duty experience in residential aged care is highly regarded.
• Confidence working night duty and making sound clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care to residents overnight.
• Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
• Administer medications in line with legislation, policies and clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, dignity and independence.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff on shift.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and quality standards
• Participate in clinical handovers to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
• Liaise effectively with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, families, and external providers as required.
