Job summary

Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking passionate, experienced Registered Midwives for permanent night-shift roles in our maternity team. You will deliver high-quality antenatal and postnatal care, supporting mothers, babies and families in a calm, compassionate environment.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team that values safe practice, patient experience and evidence-based care, with supportive leadership and strong focus on growth and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, with a minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience within a Birthing Unit.
• Deep empathy and emotional intelligence to support mothers and newborns.
• Strong verbal and written communication to build trust with patients and families.
• Able to commit to night shifts.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, woman-centred antenatal and postnatal care during night shifts.
• Collaborate with a warm, multidisciplinary team to ensure safe practice and excellent patient experience.
• Support mothers, babies and families during transformative moments with compassionate care.
• Contribute to a calm, collaborative clinical environment that values continuity of care.
• Participate in pre-employment checks as part of the hiring process.
