Job summary

Silk Logistics in Truganina, Victoria, Australia is seeking an experienced Reach Stacker Operator to join our transport operations team for a full-time night shift, starting around 5:00pm. This role involves safely loading/unloading containers, stacking in the yard, and ensuring safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years’ experience with a 45-tonne Reach Stacker in a high-volume yard, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a Reach Stacker.
• Experience operating a 45-tonne Reach Stacker in a high-volume container yard.
• Previous experience with container loading, unloading and stacking operations.
• Strong understanding of transport safety requirements and compliance obligations.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload shipping containers from trailers using a Reach Stacker.
• Stack and relocate containers within the yard in accordance with operational requirements.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and operate the Reach Stacker in a safe and compliant manner.
• Identify and report any visible container damage or operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with CoR, fatigue management and workplace health and safety requirements.
