Overview

Night Shift Printer role at News Corp Australia. Join our dynamic Pressroom team responsible for printing newspapers to high-quality standards in a safe and efficient manner. Working across a 24-hour shift schedule, you’ll operate and maintain News Man 40 presses, perform general press maintenance, and contribute to key operational areas such as the plate room, reel room, ink room, and poster press. This hands-on role involves fault finding, housekeeping, and supporting other departments to ensure deadlines and safety standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain News Man 40 presses on a 24-hour shift schedule.
  • Perform general press maintenance and support plate room, reel room, ink room, and poster press operations.
  • Fault finding, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting as required.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, adhere to safety standards, and support other departments to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality print production.
Qualifications
  • You’re a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • You have a trade certificate (AQF Level 3 or equivalent) or a willingness to undertake training.
  • You bring a proactive mindset and a flexible approach to shift work.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, solid fault-finding skills, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Strong communication and a readiness to learn and grow will help you succeed in this role.
