Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Machine Operator / Warehouse Casual for its Print Centre. You will operate the trimmer and other publishing machinery, monitor quality, and assist with packaging, working across a late afternoon to night roster.

Candidates should have factory or manufacturing experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work under time constraints. Forklift licence is advantageous; 4 pm or 7 pm starts, 20-25 hours per week.

Job description

What's the role?

Our Print Centre is currently seeking a Machine Operator / Warehouse Casual. You will be responsible for the safe operation and monitoring of trimmer equipment used in the production of newspaper inserts. Safely operate the trimmer, and other publishing machinery. Monitor product quality and meet trimming specifications with training assistance from other trimmer operators. Some side work involving packaging and publishing newspapers.

Hours / Roster: 5 days a week of late afternoon/night shifts 20-25 hours per week 4 pm or 7 pm starts.

Who are you?

Previous experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment involving process working or pick/packing will be seen as advantageous. Collaborative team player approach to your work. Strong adherence to safety policies and standards. Manual handling capability is essential. Ability to work effectively in a time-constrained environment. Flexibility to work across a 7 day roster. Availability to cover additional shifts at short notice. Forklift licence is Advantageous.
