Qualifications

• A relevant trade qualification in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology, or equivalent.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience maintaining, testing and repairing motorcycles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, braking, suspension and engine systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and manufacturer repair procedures.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong workplace safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motorcycles, engines and related components.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, braking systems, suspension and other mechanical parts.
• Repair and replace worn or defective parts using service manuals and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups and general servicing.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and computer-based systems to identify and resolve faults.
• Inspect motorcycles and provide details of required repairs or maintenance work.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high professional standard.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and repairs completed.
• Assist with breakdowns or urgent repair work when required.
