Job summary

Evolve Scientific is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our night shift team in Melbourne. This casual ongoing role offers full-time hours and potential for permanent employment within a highly regulated plastics manufacturing facility.

You will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and support safe, efficient production. Responsibilities include monitoring machinery, preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and maintaining maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and manufacturing quality systems.
• Hands-on experience using mechanical tools and equipment.
• Forklift licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production machinery performance and efficiency.
• Set up, dismantle, adjust and troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
