Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Sydney Parcel Facility in Chullora. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on an automated network of conveyors and PLC-controlled equipment, diagnosing faults and supporting improvements to keep parcels moving efficiently.

Safety and SAP-based maintenance processes are central. You will work nights, with flexible hours and opportunities for overtime, study pathways, and career progression within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Full NSW Electrical Licence and Cert III Electrotechnology are required.
• Strong fault-finding skills on industrial or processing equipment.
• Exposure to PLC/VFD is desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable working independently and with operations teams.
• Confident using maintenance systems and technology (e.g. SAP).
• Flexible to support additional hours when required.
• Motivated to learn and progress, with development pathways into senior technical or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
• Use SAP to record work activities, manage materials and support maintenance planning.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, sortation systems, scanners and PLC-controlled machinery to keep parcels moving smoothly.
