Job summary

Chobani Australia is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Fitter to lead our maintenance team at the Dandenong South site. The role runs 6:00pm–6:00am on a 2-on/2-off pattern, with every second weekend on-site.

You will fault-find, repair, and maintain high‑speed manufacturing equipment to maximise uptime and support production targets. You'll work hands‑on with commissioning of new equipment, participate in capital projects, and collaborate with production and external suppliers in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner (First Class) with Disconnect/Reconnect Licence (Class 2).
• 5–8 years’ maintenance and commissioning experience in high‑speed manufacturing.
• Experience in Food & Beverage, Dairy, or Pharmaceutical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to plant breakdowns and perform maintenance and repairs safely and efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, upgrades and modifications on high‑speed equipment.
• Support plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Assist with FAT witnessing, installation, commissioning and handover of new equipment.
• Coordinate with production to troubleshoot issues and support targets.
• Coordinate internal and external maintenance teams and contractors.
• Train and support personnel in safe operation of plant equipment.
