Job summary

Boral in SA is seeking an experienced Fitter/Boilermaker to join our workshop team at Linwood. This nightshift-based role reports to the Team Leader/Supervisor and is responsible for planned maintenance, reducing downtime and maximizing plant efficiency.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with spare parts stock, fault finding on crushing and screening equipment, and document plant data to keep records current. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Qualified fitter trade with demonstrated maintenance experience.
• Experience with crushing and screening equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in line with OH&S procedures and legislation.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in continual improvement.
• Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock.
• Fault find, modify and maintain crushing, screening and batching equipment across various plants.
• Strip and rebuild components to the original specifications and performance.
• Complete documentation to ensure plant data remains current.
• Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort.
