Job summary

BGIS Global Integrated Solutions Canada – Mascot NSW is recruiting a qualified Electrician for a permanent night shift role in a busy transport environment. The on-site position requires delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The ideal candidate holds a NSW electrical licence, trades qualification, and experience with CMMS systems, with the ability to work night shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations in a high-visibility setting.

Qualifications

• Essential: Trade qualification as a licensed Electrician.
• Essential: Current electrical licence (NSW or equivalent).
• Essential: Maintenance experience in commercial/industrial/infrastructure environments.
• Essential: Strong fault-finding & problem-solving skills.
• Essential: Understanding of WHS, electrical standards & compliance requirements.
• Essential: Experience using CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo).
• Essential: Ability to work shift including nights, weekends, on-call rotations.
• Essential: Strong communication & teamwork.
• Essential: Ability to work in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventative and corrective electrical maintenance across assets & systems.
• Respond to breakdowns & urgent faults within required response times.
• Work within a shift-based roster supporting 24/7 operations.
• Complete and update work orders accurately in CMMS.
• Support emergency response activities & ensure assets are safe.
• Follow strict safety, compliance & operational procedures.
• Collaborate with trades, FM Hub & operations teams.
• Identify recurring issues & improve asset reliability.
