Job summary

Manning Hospital in New South Wales is seeking a Locum ED CMO In Charge to support night-time Emergency Department coverage. The role requires experienced ED doctors who can lead the shift, manage patient flow, and escalate concerns as needed.

Shifts are night-time (22:30–08:30) with a short locum block available. Credentialing and compliance support are provided through Gorilla Jobs, with the ED CMO In Charge role within Hunter New England LHD.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration is required.
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience at CMO In Charge level.
• Strong communication, leadership and clinical judgement.
• Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Work as ED CMO In Charge.
• Assess and manage Emergency Department presentations.
• Support patient flow and clinical decision-making.
• Provide leadership across the shift where required.
• Complete clinical documentation and handover.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
