Job summary

Gorilla Jobs is recruiting a Locum GP VMO or CMO In-Charge to support Emergency Department and inpatient ward cover at a regional NSW hospital within Hunter New England LHD. The role requires 24-hour ED and ward coverage with shifts across 08:00–08:00 and ongoing availability across December and early January.

You will manage ED presentations, support ward care and ensure thorough handover and documentation, with accommodation, travel reimbursement, and SDPR training provided.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration required.
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience.
• GP VMO or CMO in-charge experience preferred; SDPR training may be required.
• Current CV, references and compliance documents supplied.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-charge Emergency Department cover
• Review and manage ED presentations
• Support inpatient ward care
• Complete documentation and handover
• Escalate care appropriately when required
