Job summary

Thomas Borthwick & Sons are seeking an experienced supervisor for our night cleaning operations at Bakers Creek Plant. The supervisor will oversee the Night Cleaning Team as part of our management group, reporting to Production Manager of Facility.

You'll lead by example, coach your team, and ensure exceptional quality and safety standards. Availability for Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm and some weekends is required; experience in manufacturing or food processing is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or food processing environments.
• Ability to work with raw meat, specifically beef products.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Availability for afternoon shift (2pm–10pm) and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and supervise, coach, and support the Night Cleaning Team.
• Maintain exceptional quality standards and WHS compliance.
• Drive a positive, accountable team culture.
• Clean floors, walls, work surfaces and production line equipment.
• Ensure correct cleaning chemicals are used and PPE is worn.
• Liaise with Quality Assurance and Production Manager.

What is the opportunity?

Thomas Borthwick and Sons are looking for an experienced supervisor for our night cleaning operations at our Bakers Creek Plant. The supervisor will assume a wide range of responsibilities and accountabilities as a pivotal member of our management team.

The position reports directly to the Production Manager of Facility and is directly responsible for overseeing employees of the Night Cleaning Team.

Key Responsibilities

include but not limited to:

• Cleaning of floors, walls, work surfaces and production line equipment
• Ensuring correct cleaning chemicals are used
• Working in a manner that promotes safe working practices for yourself and your colleagues
• Ensuring that all PPE is worn and used at all times
• Liaising with Quality Assurance team and Production Manager

About You

• Availability to work afternoon shift; Monday to Friday; 2pm to 10pm
• Availability to work some weekends as needed
• Experience within a manufacturing or food processing environment advantageous
• Ability to work with raw meat, specifically beef products
• Good attention to detail
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Positive “Can do” attitude
• Leads with integrity and earns respect.
• Communicates well with your team.
