Yancoal Australia is seeking entry level Mineworkers to join the Underground team at Moolarben Coal Operations. Successful applicants will start with safety-first training and hands-on instruction while learning to operate heavy underground equipment under supervision.

Ideal candidates are dependable, safety conscious and eager to develop practical skills, with a willingness to learn, work a roster pattern, and contribute to a strong, collaborative crew in a demanding mining environment.

This opportunity is suited to applicants who bring a positive work ethic, take safety seriously, accept responsibility and are keen to develop the skills required to operate heavy underground mining equipment safely and efficiently.

We are looking for people who are dependable, safety conscious and willing to learn. You will need to demonstrate good hazard awareness, a practical approach to risk management, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Arriving fit, prepared and ready to contribute to your rostered shifts.
• Following the site risk management process, identifying hazards and speaking up when conditions or tasks are unsafe.
• Learning to operate a range of underground heavy mining equipment under instruction, assessment and supervision.
• Carrying out work safely, efficiently and in accordance with site procedures and supervisor direction.
• Taking responsibility for your actions, work standards and ongoing development.
• Working cooperatively within the crew and communicating clearly with supervisors and workmates.
• Contributing practical ideas that support safer work and continuous improvement.

Successful applicants will be assigned to one of the following roster patterns:

• Monday to Thursday day shift: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Monday to Thursday night shift: 6:30 pm to 5:00 am
• Friday to Sunday day shift: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Friday to Sunday night shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
