Job summary

Pinnacle Rehab in Canberra is seeking a New Graduate or experienced Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist to grow clinically and contribute to effective return-to-work plans.

You’ll start with a structured induction, shadowing, and online modules on workers compensation, with ongoing support from a Team Leader and mentors to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• General Registration with AHPRA or ESSA
• Tertiary degree in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy
• Car and valid Driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients with a physical injury
• Complete initial assessments to understand injury, recovery timeframes and return-to-work goals
• Visit workplaces to assess environment and duties, identifying suitable duties
• Provide support through recommendations for community or insurer support
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to support recovery of an injured worker
• Document case notes for reporting and compliance, guiding clients to safe return-to-work

The Opportunity:

As aNew Graduateor experiencedOccupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist orPhysiotherapistyou willhave achance to further develop your clinical reasoning skills and play a key role in supporting effective return to work plans.
You will be involved within a structured andhands-on induction, shadowing opportunitiesand classroom sessions in your first week, followed by ongoing remote learning modulesto provide clearunderstanding of the workers compensation framework.
Ongoing individual support and team meetings with Team Leader, peer mentorsessions tohelp youdevelop the skillsto drive andachieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.
Looking after a client portfolio, your day will include:

• Manage a portfolio of clients with a physicalinjury
• Complete initialassessments to better understand the injury, recovery timeframes andreturn to work goals
• Visiting workplace to assess environment and duties within the role,identify with employer of any suitable duties while recovering
• Providing support through recommendations for community assistance or additional support through the insurer
• Working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide complex stakeholder management to support the recovery of an injured worker
• Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients to a safe return to work goal

About You

• General Registration with AHPRAor ESSA
