Job summary

AirBridge Networks PTY LTD in Cairns, QLD is seeking Level 1–3 Network Support Engineers to join our growing IT Support team. You will handle support requests, diagnose issues, and collaborate with a skilled group to design, configure, and deploy reliable network solutions across Australia.

This role requires strong customer service, problem solving, and familiarity with routers/switches (Ubiquiti, Cisco, Fortinet) and Wi‑Fi deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service with a focus on an exceptional customer experience.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities using methodical and logical thinking.
• Professional and articulate verbal and written communication.
• Experience with external vendors (ticket creation, escalation, RMA).
• Knowledge of IP and subnetting.
• Strong to expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting routers and switches (Ubiquiti, Cisco, Peplink, Cambium, Fortiswitch, Ericsson Cradlepoint).
• Experience with Wi-Fi deployment/troubleshooting (Ubiquiti, FortiWAP).
• Firewall experience or willingness to certifications (Fortinet preferred).
• Experience/knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and configuration.
• Experience/knowledge of LEO satellite technologies desirable (Starlink).
• Knowledge of telephony desirable (RingCentral, IPECS).

Responsibilities

• Receive support requests via email and phone.
• Manage incidents end-to-end with engineers.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate department managers.
• Design, plan, and configure network hardware for deployment to customers across Australia.
• Assist field resources with installations and troubleshooting network faults.
• Research, configure, and test new technologies to ensure fit-for-purpose.
• Develop, publish, optimize, and maintain network documentation and asset registers.
• Study and complete vendor certifications once a new product is onboarded for sale.
• Attend customer sites to troubleshoot faults as required.

We are looking to expand our IT Support team in Cairns and are seeking highly motivated and dedicated support engineers to join our path to becoming one of the biggest and most experienced network innovators in Far North Queensland.

What your day-to-day looks like:

• Receive support requests via email and phone
