Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, support and continuously improve secure network solutions across a range of technologies. You will troubleshoot complex issues, work with stakeholders, and contribute to stable, scalable outcomes.

You’ll also document solutions and mentor teammates to grow technical capabilities while you learn new technologies in a collaborative, global environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting firewalls, cloud proxy platforms or NAC solutions with Palo Alto exposure.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching and enterprise concepts.
• Experience with Cisco or Aruba environments; exposure to F5 load balancing.
• CCNA certification or equivalent experience; interest in network security.

What role will you play?

In this role you will design, support and improve secure network solutions across a range of network security technologies. You will troubleshoot complex issues, work closely with stakeholders and contribute to stable, scalable outcomes. You will also support continuous improvement through documentation, mentoring and knowledge sharing across the team.

What you offer

• Experience supporting firewalls, cloud proxy platforms or network access control solutions, with exposure to Palo Alto technologies desirable.
• Good understanding of IP networking, network security fundamentals, routing, switching and common enterprise network concepts.
• Experience working with Cisco or Aruba networking environments and exposure to load balancing technologies such as F5.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative approach and eagerness to learn new technologies and develop technical capabilities.
• CCNA certification or equivalent industry experience, with a strong interest in network security and enterprise networking technologies.
