Job summary

Informatech is seeking a Senior Network Security Technician to join a Defence program team, designing, building and transitioning cyber security solutions across complex, secure ICT environments.

You will contribute to design, build, deployment and transition of cyber security solutions, working with internal and external technical teams to integrate tools, and lead integrated technical teams while maintaining documentation and compliance with security policies.

Qualifications

• NV2 security clearance and Australian Citizenship is essential.
• Experience applying cyber security controls aligned to zero-trust architecture.
• Hands-on experience deploying/ integrating Fortinet products.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, build, deployment and transition of cyber security solutions in Defence environments.
• Integrate cyber security tools with ICT services and collaborate across teams.
• Conduct set-to-work activities and support remediation of cyber toolsets.
• Author and maintain solution designs, SOC procedures and documentation.

Informatech is a 100% Australian-owned ICT consultancy delivering Testing, Technical, Project Delivery and Cyber Security services to Federal and State Government and Defence clients. We’re looking for a Senior Network Security Technician to join a Defence program team, designing, building and transitioning cyber security solutions across a complex, secure ICT environments.

What you’ll do

• Contribute directly to the design, build, deployment and transition of cyber security solutions aligned to best practice and Defence security policies, principles and frameworks.
• Work with internal and external technical teams to integrate cyber security tools with all ICT services in the stack.
• Conduct set-to-work activities and support remediation of cyber toolsets.
• Author, review and maintain Solution Designs, Standard Operating Procedures, As-Built-As-Configured documentation and other required artefacts.
• Work autonomously on highly complex problems, explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences, and assess risks and mitigations, including the implications of new technologies.
• Lead and mentor integrated technical teams.

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrated experience applying cyber security controls aligned to zero-trust architecture principles.
• Strong experience deploying and integrating Fortinet products, including FortiManager, FortiGate, FortiNAC and FortiAnalyzer.
• Strong knowledge of Nutanix, VMware and Elastic.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A current NV2 security clearance and Australian Citizenship is essential to be considered for the role.

Highly regarded

• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with ADF deployed environments and their unique networking, support and security constraints.
• Knowledge of the ISM, DSPF, PSPF and NIST frameworks.
