Job summary

Green Light Worldwide is seeking a high calibre Network Lead to join one of our delivery partners based in NSW, Australia. This role involves end-to-end consultation from requirements and solution design through to implementation, ensuring high availability.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of network engineering experience, CISCO-centric skills, and an active AGSVA baseline clearance. You will lead design, deployment, and operations across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer and data centre technologies; leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience designing, implementing and configuring networking products in SD LAN, WAN & Internet services.
• Understanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous)
• Knowledge of cloud computing orchestrations and application architectures.
• Proven experience delivering large network solutions and integrating into major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end network design, implementation and optimization for complex environments.
• Configure and deploy Cisco-based solutions, SD-WAN and Riverbed optimization.
• Oversee routing, switching, firewalls (Fortinet) and security considerations across LAN/WAN.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure high availability and performance.
• Guide adherence to best practices and deployment frameworks.

Job description

Green Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Network Lead (baseline) to join one of our delivery partners based in their NSW offices. This position will end-to-end consultation from requirements, solution design through to implementation, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully deliver capability and maintain high availability.

This role does require an active AGSVA baseline clearance at a minimum. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Experience across complex network environments specifically on the Cisco platform
• Strong expertise with network optimisation technologies - Cisco, SD WAN, Riverbed etc
• Routing, switching and Cisco FTD and Fortinet firewalls, LAN/WAN & managed network environments
• Experience with wireless solutions - Meraki andCisco Wireless
• Good written communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills
• Strong technical knowledge with solid deployment experience using carrier protocols i.e. BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and QoS.
• Analyse and assess security incidents and elevate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance
• Facilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant procedures

Requirements:

• 10+ years professional experience as a Network Engineer and data centre technologies, with some experience as in a management and/or lead role
• Experience providing design, implementation and configuration of networking products in SD LAN, WAN & Internet services environments.
• Understanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud computing orchestrations and application architectures.
• Proven experience planning and delivering significant network solutions and integrating into large infrastructure project
• Networking: In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and Address Management, firewalling, load balancers, Security trust zones, Management Networks, VPN and network design.
