Job summary

nbn is seeking a Field Engineer based in Melbourne to join the Melbourne Metro Field Services team. You will represent nbn across field-based assurance activities spanning all network technologies, including FTTx, HFC, Fixed Wireless and Satellite, providing support, integration, and quality checks.

The role involves travel, after-hours rosters, on-call duties, field audits, and fault rectification to maintain network integrity and performance.

Qualifications

• Technical background in network technologies (Ethernet, DWDM, GPON or HFC) is desirable.
• Experience with field-based assurance activities across telecom networks is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and participate in after-hours schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support and on-site technical assistance across nbn technologies.
• Conduct field investigations, maintenance and fault rectification to ensure network integrity.
• Participate in night works roster and on-call duties as required.
• Perform field audits and uphold delivery partner quality and service standards.
