Job summary

Ampstek is seeking a Data Centre Networking Specialist to design, implement and support enterprise Data Centre networks in a fast-paced environment. You will participate in transformation projects, refresh initiatives, and migrations while configuring Cisco Nexus devices and core routing protocols.

The role requires hands-on experience with data centre technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and a track record of delivering network upgrades with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Data Centre networking and transformations.
• Hands-on with Cisco Nexus and data centre tech.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VRF, STP, HSRP/VRRP.
• Experience with VXLAN / EVPN and spine-leaf architecture.
• Experience performing network migrations, upgrades and refresh projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise Data Centre network infrastructure.

• Configure and manage enterprise network devices including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Work on LAN, WAN, Data Centre networking, routing, and shipping environments.
• Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Manage and support VLANs, VXLAN, VRF, STP, HSRP/VRRP, and IP addressing.
• Support Data Centre technologies including Cisco Nexus, ACI, and spine-leaf architecture.
• Perform network migrations, upgrades, configuration changes, and technology refresh activities with minimal service disruption.
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents, performance issues, connectivity problems, and network outages.
• Work with security, infrastructure, cloud, application, and operations teams to deliver transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, HLD/LLD documents, configuration standards, implementation plans, and operational documentation.

Nice to Have

• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Data Center / CCNP Enterprise.
