Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a District-wide Neonatal Nurse Educator on an 11-month secondment to shape the neonatal workforce across the LHD.

The role partners with neonatal leaders, clinicians and stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop and deliver education programs, support early career staff, and contribute to workforce capability initiatives that enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualification in education and/or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent to support education delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver education programs and lead workforce development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead education, professional development and service-wide projects to improve neonatal care.
• Develop and deliver innovative education programs for neonatal staff and early career clinicians.
• Contribute to workforce capability initiatives and research/quality improvement activities.
• Effectively manage priorities across multiple sites and engage with clinicians, managers and stakeholders.
