Australian Unity is reimagining how health and care are delivered across local communities. This full-time Neighbourhood Leader role is based at Port Macquarie, with regular on-site leadership presence and flexible work options including one day per week from home.

You will lead a team of leaders to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services, drive performance, and build partnerships across multidisciplinary teams for integrated care delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within aged care, health, community services or another regulated environment.
• Experience leading leaders and geographically dispersed or multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams.
• Customer-focused mindset balancing customer outcomes, workforce effectiveness and operational performance.
• Ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making, continuous improvement and performance outcomes.
• Experience leading quality, risk and compliance outcomes within a regulated environment.
• Experience leading teams through change, transformation and growth initiatives.
• Knowledge of aged care funding models, regulatory requirements and quality standards; relevant qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support neighbourhood growth by aligning workforce capacity and service delivery capability to customer demand.

We are seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Leader to lead integrated care and service delivery across a local Neighbourhood, delivering strong customer outcomes, workforce performance and operational excellence.

Leading a team of leaders, you will bring together Care Partnering and Service Delivery functions to deliver seamless customer experiences, ensuring customers receive coordinated, high-quality support aligned to their goals, needs and preferences.

This is a full-time role based at Port Macquarie

This role is primarily office-based, with regular on-site leadership presence across the Neighbourhood.

Flexible work arrangements are available, including the option to work from home approximately 1 day per week, in line with business requirements.

About the role

In this role, you will lead a team of leaders responsible for the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred services across your Neighbourhood.

You will:

What you’ll bring

You are an experienced operational leader who enjoys developing people, driving performance and delivering outstanding customer outcomes in a complex service environment.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated leadership experience within aged care, health, community services or another regulated environment.


• Experience leading leaders and geographically dispersed or multidisciplinary teams.


• Strong people leadership, coaching and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams.


• A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to balance customer outcomes, workforce effectiveness and operational performance.


• Ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making, continuous improvement and performance outcomes.


• Experience leading quality, risk and compliance outcomes within a regulated environment.


• Experience leading teams through change, transformation and growth initiatives.


• Knowledge of aged care funding models, regulatory requirements and quality standards will be highly regarded. Relevant qualifications in aged care, community services, health, business or a related discipline are also desirable.
