Fall Forward is seeking compassionate Disability Coaches to join our Cairns team. You will support NDIS participants in homes and in the community, helping them build independence, social skills and wellbeing. We provide Auslan training, structured supervision, and a supportive community-focused environment.
We offer guaranteed hours, clear career pathways, and opportunities to gain qualifications in Community Services while growing with a committed team in Far North Queensland.
You don’t need years of experience. You need to be the kind of person who shows up.
If that’s you, keep reading.
At Fall Forward, we put connection first — working alongside NDIS participants of all ages to build skills, confidence and wellbeing.
We’re an NDIS provider seeking motivated, compassionate Disability Coaches to join our team in Cairns and surrounding areas. We’re growing, we’re active, and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
We know what drives good support workers out of this sector — shifts chopped and changed at the last minute, a different participant every week, never knowing what your fortnight looks like. We don’t run that way.
We provide supports to participants who are Deaf or hard of hearing and require Auslan interpretation. That means we don’t just offer Auslan training as a perk on a list — we fund it, we teach it, and you’ll use it in real relationships with real people every week. It’s a genuinely valuable, transferable skill set, and very few employers in Far North Queensland will pay you to build it.
A workplace that’s genuinely part of the community.
We host a large number of community events throughout the year and are deeply active across Cairns and the Far North. You’ll be out in the community, building connections and helping our participants be visible and included — not just supporting people behind closed doors.
You’ll provide person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and in the community, working to the goals set out in their NDIS plan and helping them:
You’ll also keep accurate progress notes, support the delivery of participant plans, and work within the NDIS Practice Standards and NDIS Code of Conduct — including your obligations around reportable incidents.
This role involves both independent and team-based work, with some weekend and sleepover shifts required.
We live our values every day — they guide how we connect, care and grow together.
Based in Cairns, Fall Forward delivers quality NDIS Disability Coaching Services across all life stages — from early childhood through to adulthood. We focus on connection, creativity and sustainable outcomes for participants and their families. Our team proudly supports people from diverse backgrounds — including participants with hearing impairment, neurodiversity and complex needs — and provides the tools and training to help you support them confidently.
We’re an organisation on the move — expanding our services, deepening our community presence, and building a team of people who want to be part of something rather than just clock on and off.
