Job summary

Join the team at Empowered Living Services as an NDIS support worker.

In this Part time position, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to participants located in their home and in the community. As a key member of our compassionate team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while enjoying the stability of permanent part time or full time work.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Facilitating community access and engagement to support clients' independence and social inclusion
• Implementing individualised support plans to address clients' unique needs and goals
• Collaborating with allied health professionals and family members to ensure holistic, person-centred care
• Maintaining detailed client records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the wellbeing of clients

What we’re looking for

• Applicants MUST have their own vehicle available for all shifts and fully insured
• Applicants MUST be available for shifts outlined in the screening questionaire
• Relevant Certificate III or IV qualification in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services preferred
• Previous experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs mental health experience is essential
• Minimum of 1 year experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs is required
• Ability to manage Medication
• Assistance with self care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach to working with diverse client needs
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
• Proficient in documentation and report writing
• Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence
• Australian work rights are required for this position
• Both NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check are required
