Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking Expressions of Interest for an NDIS Local Area Coordinator (LAC) at Singleton site (HNER). This full-time role (38 hours, Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm) offers two days work-from-home, with a SCHADS 4.1 package starting at $92k per year plus salary packaging up to $18,550 and super.

RDOs monthly support flexible work-life balance. You will link participants to and navigate the NDIS, helping develop plans, explore funding options, and support goals.

Job description

Seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and driven professionals to join our NDIS Local Area Coordination (LAC) team in Singleton site (HNER).

This is a Full-Time Permanent opportunity (38 hours per week on Weekdays / 9am to 5pm)

• Work-from-home flexibility of 2 days per week
• Starting from SCHADS 4.1 $92k per year plus Salary packaging up to $18,550 (pay less tax) plus Super
• Rostered Day Off once a month

What you’ll be doing in this role

As a Local Area Coordinator, you would be using your people skills, ability to multitask and move with changes rapidly to assist participants to be linked to and navigate the NDIS. You will guide participants in their options to make informed choices while gathering information for the development of their NDIS plans to help further build capacity. LACs also support NDIS participants in exploring ways to achieve their goals and help them understand how the funding in their plan works.

Your work will include:

• Supporting people with disabilities, their families and carers by providing linkage and referrals to community and mainstream services and/or services funded by the NDIA’s Grant programs
• With hands on NDIS and Uniting training you will develop a thorough understanding of how to best support NDIS participants through the various stages of their pathway
• Undertake other duties as requested by the Service Area Leadership Team consistent with the general nature and responsibilities of the position

Who we’re looking for

• Someone with great people skills, customer service, excellent communication and time management skills.
• Background with Disability, understanding of a Local Area Coordinator and NDIS knowledge or with Lived Experience.
• Successfully manage multiple responsibilities or experience with high KPI-driven work or targets or caseloads with efficiency and meet service delivery deadlines.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of beingcompassionate,respectful,imaginative, andbold.
