Job summary

TheirCare Plus at Coomera State Special School is seeking a dedicated manager to lead our program supporting children and young people with complex disabilities. You will oversee daily operations, design inclusive activities aligned with NDIS goals, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

You’ll coach and support a multidisciplinary team, engage with families and school staff, and drive reflective practice to deliver person-centered, outcomes-focused care.

• Confidence managing services for children with high and complex needs.
• Strong understanding of person-centred active support and inclusive practice.

• Lead a team delivering high-quality daily support for children and young people with complex disability needs.

• Manage daily operations with a focus on safety, service quality, and compliance.
• Foster a positive team culture through coaching, training, and reflective practice.
• Liaise with families, school teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure individualised care.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with NDIS and internal quality systems.
• Promote a fun, inclusive, and empowering environment where young people can thrive.

About Your New Role

Requirements

• Previous experience and confidence in the disability support and childcare sector is ideal but not essential
• Previous leadership experience in a disability or child-focused setting
• Working towards or holding a relevant qualification at a minimum of Certificate III level in one of the following areas: Education, Community and Social Services, Health and Medical, Disability and Aged Care, or Allied Health.
• EmployeeBlue Card in Queensland.
• ValidHLTAID012 First Aid in a Childcare Setting(including First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training).
• NDIS Orientation Certificate.
• Mandatory Reporting Certificate.
• Proof of Right to work in Australia.
