Job summary

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary allied health practice in Melbourne's west to recruit a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with children, young people and/or adults with disability who present with behaviours of concern, delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support to improve quality of life and reduce restrictive practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner within the NDIS.
• Registration as a CORE or Proficient Practitioner under the NDIS Commission.
• Relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or similar.
• Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and restrictive practice frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBA).
• Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS requirements.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and strategies.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide training and education to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
