Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Navigation and Aviation Engineer to install, test, commission, maintain and troubleshoot Navigation and Aviation systems in Ship Combat Systems. You will ensure compliance with design documentation and safety standards, while engaging stakeholders across complex maritime platforms.

The role requires strong problem solving, system integration experience, and the ability to manage multiple activities under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, and/or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system requirements analysis for test systems (equipment, harnesses, instrumentation).
• Prepare Set to Work and Installation and Checkout procedures per design criteria.
• Maintain test & integration records in CM, contribute to VCRM and RTM.
• Utilise test tools to perform test, integration and verification; diagnose problems and capture FRACAS data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve production queries and manage design changes.
