Job summary

Zurich Australia and New Zealand is seeking a National Underwriting Manager Marine to lead the Marine portfolio, driving profitable growth and underwriting excellence across Commercial, Digital and Partnerships.

You will coach and develop high-performing teams, build strong broker relationships, and use data insights to inform strategy while delivering disciplined execution in a dynamic market.

As National Underwriting Manager Marine, Australia & New Zealand, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the future of Zurich’s Marine portfolio across Commercial, Digital and Partnerships. Partnering closely with underwriting leaders, you will help drive profitable growth, strengthen underwriting excellence, and ensure disciplined execution of strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

To be successful, you will have the following:

• Extensive technical underwriting experience within Marine insurance
• Proven leadership experience developing and managing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated success delivering profitable growth and leading change in a complex insurance environment
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to influence business outcomes
• Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, customers and industry partners
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional insurance accreditation such as ANZIIF CIP
