Job summary

CSIRO is seeking a strategic leader to shape the national research infrastructure and capabilities. You will drive an enterprise-level plan, engage senior stakeholders and coordinate investment decisions across Australia’s largest multidisciplinary research organisation.

The role requires delivering long-term capability roadmaps, advising executives on investment priorities and strengthening governance across CSIRO, universities, NCRIS facilities, government and industry.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in national level research infrastructure and governance.
• Ability to translate trends into practical strategies and proposals.
• Proven capability to engage stakeholders and influence across organisational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead CSIRO’s enterprise research infrastructure strategy and national plan.
• Shape long-term capability roadmaps and major equipment decisions.
• Advise senior leaders on future capability needs and infrastructure risks.
• Strengthen governance and visibility of research infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for shared capability and co-investment.
• Represent CSIRO in national infrastructure discussions and partnerships.
