Job summary

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Australia is seeking a National Programme Officer (Migrant Settlement and Strategic Reporting) to provide leadership for AUSCO and CSP activities, supervise assigned personnel, and ensure alignment with donor requirements and IOM standards.

You will coordinate governance, partnerships, and reporting to COPA and ROAP, drive programme development, and advance funding opportunities while maintaining contractual compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Manages AUSCO and CSP personnel and provides integrated leadership across governance, donor and stakeholder engagement, compliance, QA, partnerships and programme development.
• Experience in coordinating large–scale humanitarian programmes and reporting.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and partners across regions and headquarters.

Job description

The Australian Cultural Orientation Program (AUSCO) supports Australia-bound refugees and humanitarian entrants with practical information and orientation before departure. The Community Support Program (CSP) supports community-sponsored humanitarian pathways and associated settlement preparation and coordination. The Country Office for Australia and Coordination Office for the Pacific (COPA) function connects programme delivery with institutional partnerships, resource mobilization and engagement across IOM Country Offices, the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (ROAP), Headquarters and the Resource Mobilization Division (RMD).

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission, IOM Australia, and in close functional coordination with the AUSCO Global Coordinator for AUSCO-related responsibilities, the National Programme Officer (Migrant Settlement and Strategic Reporting) will manage and supervise assigned AUSCO and CSP personnel and provide integrated leadership across programme governance, donor and stakeholder engagement, contractual compliance, quality assurance, strategic partnerships and programme development.

It will ensure that AUSCO and CSP are delivered in accordance with applicable agreements, IOM rules and standards, approved workplans, budgets, risk controls and reporting requirements, while supporting COPA priorities through coordinated pipeline development, institutional reporting and identification of new funding opportunities.
