Job summary

John Holland is seeking a National Logistics Manager to establish and lead an enterprise-wide logistics capability. This role will integrate logistics with procurement, plant management and project delivery to drive improved cost, productivity and safety outcomes.

Location can be VIC, NSW or QLD head offices with interstate travel as required. You will build systems, governance and a national team to deliver logistics across projects of varying size and complexity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience across transport, warehousing, manufacturing or construction.
• Experience leading measurable operational improvement programs across cost, productivity, inventory or asset utilisation.
• Strong commercial acumen including budget management, cost optimisation and contract understanding.
• Experience implementing systems and standardised processes to solve complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own national logistics strategy, framework, systems and capability standards.
• Establish consistent logistics delivery across projects of different sizes.
• Define fit-for-purpose logistics structures and roles for major to small projects.
• Embed end-to-end processes for materials, warehousing, deliveries and site logistics.
• Integrate logistics planning from tender through mobilisation and delivery.
• Support tenders by pricing logistics requirements and developing solutions.
• Implement and standardise logistics governance across procurement, commercial and scheduling.
• Improve cost, productivity, material tracking and site efficiency across projects.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, HVNL and client requirements.
• Build and lead a national cohort of logistics professionals.
