Job summary

The AFL - Australian Football League is seeking an Indigenous Talent Programs Lead to drive the national Indigenous talent pathways, including Flying Boomerangs and other initiatives, and to strengthen outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in football.

You will report to the Diversity Talent Programs Manager, build partnerships with clubs, families and talent staff, and ensure high-quality delivery, cultural safety, and meaningful progression for participants.

Qualifications

• Experience leading national Indigenous talent programs or similar initiatives.
• Ability to build trust with diverse Indigenous communities.
• Strong planning, evaluation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the national Indigenous talent programs from planning to delivery.
• Build relationships with players, families, clubs and talent staff.
• Oversee program implementation, including coaches and staff appointments.
• Coordinate development opportunities and monitor participant outcomes.
